Chloe is a silly, spunky 4 year old Labrador / Rottweiler mix that weighs 46 lbs. She is full grown and will not get any larger than that. Chloe is always happy and always has a big smile on her face. She has the typical lab playful spirit, silly personality, and love for adventures. She is the perfect companion for a family who enjoys outdoor activities. Whether it’s playing chase in the backyard, going on walks on nature trails, or hopping into the car for a fun trip, she’s always up for some excitement. After a day full of zoomies and fun, she’ll gladly settle in for some snuggles and belly rubs, making her the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. She is well behaved on trips and is the perfect companion to keep you company on long drives. When she's at the home she is laid back and always ready to snuggle. She is really silly and makes her foster mom laugh on a daily basis. This cuddly love bug would be ideal for a family that wants a playful pup with a big personality that they can take on fun outdoor adventures. Chloe is truly the kind of pup who brings joy and laughter to any home thanks to her charming, silly, quirky personality.

Chloe is medium energy, so she's best described as pretty mellow with short bursts of energy. Her balanced energy level makes it easy for her to fit well into an active, yet laid-back home. Her mix of mellow vibes with short bursts of playful energy makes her perfect for families who want a companion that’s both relaxed and active, and she's an excellent pup for a family that loves the outdoors. She needs at least 1-2 hours of exercise per day, and requires daily walks or play time in the backyard. She really looks forward to going on walks around the neighborhood each day, and is happy to go for as long and far as her humans want to go. Usually she goes at a leisurely pace on her walks, but if her human wants to jog or run, she is happy to go at a faster pace. She would be a great companion on long adventurous hikes in the mountains or woods, and really just loves to be outdoors exploring nature. She enjoys playing with other dogs — especially with games like tug-o-war and chase. A confident, playful dog companion would be perfect for her as she enjoys the social aspect of playtime and would benefit from having a buddy to help her continue learning how to play with toys. Chloe would be ideal for an active family or individual who loves spending time outdoors and wants a dog that can keep up with both adventurous outings and cozy cuddle time at home.

Chloe is dog friendly and kid friendly, but has not been introduced to cats yet. She is very respectful of other dogs' personal space and will interact with them only when they initiate the greeting and playtime. She has been around senior dogs, younger dogs, and also is in a foster home with an injured dog that had major surgery on his leg. She knows that she has to be gentle with both the senior dog and also the injured dog, and would only engage in them when they want to cuddle or walk next to her. She is very gentle and observant of other dogs around her, and when one does want to play with her, she gets really excited and will run back and forth across the yard with them until they're both tired. She's not big on wrestling or rough housing, but does enjoy a good game of tug-o-war with another dog. When it comes to kids, she loves them all. She loves to cuddle and share her sweet puppy kisses with her foster mom's grandson. When he comes over to visit, Chloe is right next to his side waiting patiently for him to pet and love on her. She is really gentle with kids and would do well in a family with kids of any age. She knows she can't run or jump around when kids are around, and instead just plops down next to them and rolls on her back for some belly rubs. It is not recommended that Chloe be adopted into a home with kitties as she has not been around them before inside a home. She has passed roaming neighborhood cats when on her daily walks and doesn't pay any attention to them, but it is unknown how she will do with a kitty in the home.

Chloe is kennel trained, leash trained, and potty trained. She will sleep in a kennel if she has to, but she is not destructive and can be left out without worrying about her getting into things she's not supposed to. She currently sleeps on a dog bed or on the couch in the living room. She will try to get under a blanket when she's ready for bed, and if she can't find a way under the covers then she keeps searching with her nose until her booty is straight up in the air and her face is buried in the blanket. After she goes through all that work to get under the covers, she only stays there for about 10 minutes before she goes to sleep on the couch. She is fully potty trained and knows how to use a dog door to go outside when she needs to. She will not have an accident inside and will communicate she needs to go out for a potty break when the dog door is closed. She is perfectly ladylike on her walks and does not pull on the leash at all. She loves to go on car rides and just happily loads up then sits on the front seat looking out the window the whole ride. If she doesn't get her daily exercise outside playing or going on walks, then she will try to go out the front door to run in the front yard. She will not run away, but she just gets the zoomies and runs around the yard, so daily exercise is a must because she needs an outlet for her short bursts of energy.

Chloe's ideal home environment is a house with a fenced in backyard. She would not do well in an apartment, townhouse, or condo unless there is a dedicated private backyard space that she can access from the home to get her daily zoomies out. She would love to join an active family that enjoys the outdoors and traveling. She loves kids and would do great with a family with kids of all ages. She does not need another dog in her forever home, but would be fine living with a playful and confident dog or a laid back dog that respects her independent nature. She’d thrive in a home where she can go on fun adventures to explore new places and enjoy nature.
