Tula is a silly, sweet 2 month old terrier/lab mix that weighs 10 lbs. She is estimated to be around 50 - 55 lbs once she is full grown. Tula is a social butterfly that truly doesn't know a stranger and loves everyone she meets immediately. When she meets someone new she just wants to be held and cuddled by them. She is super affectionate and loves to be flopped on her back in her human's arms and get belly rubs until she falls asleep. She is a silly pup that is easily entertained with chew toys and furry stuffed animals. When she gets really excited, she will do the zoomies outside in the yard. She just runs circles around the resident dogs in the foster home, and when she is done with her zoomies, she will plop down in the grass, rolling around with her feet flailing in the air. She loves to cuddle up close every chance she gets to her humans and her favorite resident dogs in her foster home. She likes to spend time curled up in her foster mom's lap while she's working from home, and occasionally will even pop her cute little face in Zoom calls to say hello. She follows her foster mom around the house just observing everything she's doing. She will hop in a pile of blankets/clothes to burrow inside when her foster mom is washing laundry and she will pop her head out to watch everything she's doing. She is easily entertained with her toys and chewies, and will lay on a dog bed next to her foster mom's desk playing quietly while she works. Her curious and sweet nature makes her the perfect companion for a family that that wants a social, outdoor-loving pup that can join them on lots of fun activities.

Tula is low to medium energy, so she is the perfect mix of active and laid back. She's pretty mellow during the day while her foster mom works and loves to lounge around on a dog bed near her desk or on her lap. She does have short bursts of energy that require play time and mental stimulation activities like puzzle games, playing with the resident dogs in the yard, and rummaging through the toy box to play with a variety of toys. She is working on socialization training with her foster mom and will ride in a puppy pouch as she walks the larger dogs around the neighborhood. She loves to just look around at everything and takes it all in, and has shown that she is confident and curious. She would love a family that enjoys both lounging on the couch cuddling and also spending time outdoors. When she's not playing with her toys or doggy friends, she loves to just lay on the porch or in the grass sunbathing and snooting around in the grass. She is really good at self-entertaining by playing with her toys. Give this girl a toy box full of squeaky toys, ropes, chew toys, and more and she will keep herself entertained majority of the day. She would benefit from having a Bark Box subscription and a toy box with a variety of toys to choose from in her forever home. Puzzle games and lick mats with peanut butter are great ways to keep her busy indoors when it's cold and rainy outside, too. As she gets older and masters leash training, she would be the perfect pup to take on outdoor adventures hiking and exploring nature because she just loves to get out and experience the world around her.

Tula is dog, cat, and kid friendly. She loves to play with other dogs of any size and age, and is currently in a foster home with dogs ranging in size from 7 lbs. to 70 lbs. and ages 2 months old to 12 years old. She loves to follow around the older dogs in her foster home and will cuddle up next to them every chance she gets. She will play wrestle with the younger dogs in the home and knows she has to be gentle with the two chihuahuas. She would benefit from having another friendly, playful, and confident dog in her forever home so that she can continue learning from as she grows. She has been introduced to cats and doesn't mind them at all. She would do best with dog-friendly cats that have lived with dogs before as she is a puppy and will want to play with them. Tula would do well with kids of all ages as she loves to be cuddled and loved on, but she is going to start teething soon, so keeping lots of chew toys and doggy bones around to redirect her with is important. Since she is very sweet, gentle and affectionate, but also super playful, she would do great with a family with kids who want a fun-loving pup to play and snuggle with. She loves to receive affection from her humans in the form of belly rubs, ear scratches, and cuddles. She will give you the sweetest puppy kisses to show how much she loves you in return.

Tula is kennel trained and potty trained for the most part, and is working on mastering leash training. She sleeps in a kennel at night with no fuss as long as she is in the same room as her human, and will not make a peep until she's ready to go potty in the morning. She will bark when she's in the kennel and cannot see her human, so it is not recommended that she live in a home where there are no shared walls with neighbors if you work in the office majority of the time during the week. She does eventually settle down on her own and falls asleep, but can bark for a few minutes when she's alone initially. When she gets older, she would love to snuggle up in bed with her new humans every night so she can get in as many cuddles as possible. She has started leash training, but will need her forever human to continue this when she gets home. She is doing well with potty training since transitioning to going potty outside. Most of the time she will linger by the back door and put her feet on the door when she needs to go outside. She is still working on alerting her humans all the time though. As long as she gets a set schedule going outside every few hours for consistent potty breaks, she doesn't have any accidents inside. She is still learning what a leash is and right now thinks it is just a toy for her to play with. Her foster mom is working on acclimating her to walking around the backyard with a leash on, but she will need some more practice perfecting her leash walking skills in her forever home.

Tula's ideal home would be a house with a fenced in backyard to run around and play in. She would not do well in an apartment, condo or townhouse unless her human works from home and as long as there is a private backyard or fenced in area (not a public dog park) that can be used to take her out for playtime/exercise. She would also benefit from going to doggy day care so she can make new puppy friends while also burning some energy if you work outside of the home during the day. She would do great with a family that has other dogs and kids, and would coexist well if there's a kitty in the home too. She does need to have someone home most of the day or that can take her into the office if working a hybrid schedule as she continues working on mastering potty training. She really just loves to be with her humans and wants to spend as much time as possible with them.

Tula is deaf, but you wouldn't even know it by looking at and interacting with her. She keeps a watchful eye on her human and responds to different signals like "come", "no", and "wait". Since she was born this way, it hasn't hindered her at all and she is still a happy, silly, playful puppy that's eager to learn and engage with her human.
