Cinder is a sweet, spunky 3 month old husky / terrier mix that weighs 14 lbs. She is expected to weigh around 45-50 lbs when she is fully grown. Cinder is best described as loving, affectionate, silly, playful, and the life of the party. One minute she’s making you laugh with her silly antics, and the next she’s curled up in your arms, completely melting you for cuddles and showering you with her sweet puppy kisses. She’s incredibly social and thrives on being involved in anything her humans are doing. Whether it’s meeting new people, joining in on gatherings, or tagging along for outings, she is the happiest pup when she’s included in all of the fun activities. She has a playful, goofy spirit and a natural ability to bring fun wherever she goes. Toss her a tennis ball, hand her a squeaky toy, or let her romp around with some doggy friends, and she’s in her element playing til her heart’s content. Although she loves to have fun, she also has a calm, cuddly side too. She never passes up a chance to spend some quality time snuggled up on the couch with her foster family. She loves to curl up in your arms like a baby and fall asleep as you're watching movies and relaxing as a family. As she grows, Cinder would love to have an active, outdoorsy family that can take her on lots of fun adventures. Her spunky, playful energy is perfect for a family with children and other dogs because she loves to run around in the backyard, play fetch, and snoot around. Her curious nature and growing love for the outdoors make her an ideal adventure buddy if you love hiking and exploring nature. She also loves car rides and is the perfect passenger princess that will snooze on the front seat the whole ride. Her ideal family will be a good mix of active and adventurous, and also laid back and go-with-the-flow. If you want a pup you can take on fun adventures, but can also snuggle up on the couch for a lazy movie day, Cinder is the perfect pup for you.

Cinder is medium energy, so she has short bursts of puppy energy that are easily burned with exercise and play sessions. Her favorite activities include playing some fun mental stimulation games that involve yummy treats, playing in the backyard, and romping around with her doggy friends. Her face lights up when she meets a new furry friend and she could play as long as her doggy friend wants to play. She’s also perfectly content to entertain herself with her favorite toys when she can't find another pup to play with. She has learned how to keep herself busy with her toys and chew bones when the other dogs in her foster home don't want to play anymore. Once playtime wraps up, her sweet and snuggly side takes center stage and she will curl up next to her human or another dog for a nap. She is also very curious and loves to snoot around checking out every single inch of the yard when she goes outside. She loves to greet every neighbor that walks by and always runs over to say hello through the fence. For daily exercise, she would love to join her humans for casual neighborhood walks in the evenings and exploring longer nature trails on the weekends. Hiking through the woods, splashing around near the water, or strolling through town for some new sights and smells, Cinder will always be happy to go along for the ride. With her adaptable energy level, she’s just as content with a short playtime activities as she is going on a bigger, more adventurous outings.

Cinder is dog, cat, and kid friendly. She is in a foster home with two large dogs and a small dog, and she loves them all. She enjoys playing with the two younger dogs and respects the personal space of the senior dog in the home. She has learned important socialization skills and proper doggy communication thanks to the older dogs in her foster home. She would love to have another playful, energetic dog in her forever home to play and snuggle with. If she is the only dog in the home, she would benefit from going to doggy day care and having frequent play dates with other dogs because she is very social, and loves to have fun running and playing with them. When it comes to cats, she would do best with cats that are experienced with living with dogs and that can handle having a playful, spunky puppy in the home. If there are kitties in the home, slow introductions are a must because she is a puppy and will want to play with them. Cinder would love to have kids is her forever home. She is very playful, silly, and sweet, and she loves to get pets and share sweet puppy kisses so the more people to share her love with, the better. She is the perfect pup for a family with kids because she loves affection and cuddle time, and is also always ready to have some fun. Because she is more on the active side and still very much a puppy, she would do best with older kids who can run around and play with her in the backyard.

Cinder is kennel trained and potty trained, and is still working on mastering leash training. She does sleep in a kennel every night and will happily go inside to lay down as long as she gets a yummy treat to snack on before she falls asleep. She will sleep throughout the night without making a peep, and will not have an accident in her kennel. As she gets older, she would love to sleep in bed with her humans and get as many cuddles as she can while you sleep. Because she is about to start teething and is learning what are appropriate items to chew on, it is recommended to also kennel her when you leave the home. She is doing great with potty training and has gotten on a good routine in her foster home. She does need to be taken out every 3-4 hours on a consistent schedule, but has learned how to alert her fosters she needs to go out by standing at the door. She also will not have an accident in her kennel and will alert you that she needs to go out. When it comes to leash training, she will need additional practice with that when she gets to her forever home because she is a puppy and still gets distracted along the way. When she sees a new person or dog, she gets excited and she wants to be their best friend right away, so her fosters are working on training her to be neutral on walks, but she continued training is recommended so she can learn to walk like a calm lady on her outings.

Cinder can make any place feel like home. With her adaptable, fun-loving nature, she would be a wonderful fit for a variety of households. She does need to have a family that either works from home, can take her to a dog friendly office, or that has the means to enroll her in doggy day care while they work. She would love to live in a house with a fenced in backyard that she can run around and play in. She will be able to adjust and live happily in a townhome or apartment that has lots of walking trails nearby since she does need a few walks and play sessions each day to help burn her puppy energy. She would do love to have a family that has other dogs and kids to play and cuddle with. If she is the only dog in the home, she would benefit from going to doggy day care to help her burn her puppy energy, continue socializing, and to learn proper play etiquette with other dogs as she continues to grow. No public dog parks for this sweet girl (who wants to risk your pup catching a disease or being bullied on by other random dogs anyways), but she would love to have fun adventures at Sniff Spots or doggy day care occasionally for playtime and exercise if she does live in an apartment, condo, or townhouse without a private fenced-in yard. Cinder just wants to share life with her people and go on lots of fun adventures as she grows. She’s so excited to find a forever family who will give her all the love, adventure, and companionship she dreams of.
