Olivia

Livvy is a loving, playful 8 week old lab / husky mix that weighs 7 lbs. She is estimated to be around 40-45 lbs once she is full grown. Livvy is a joyful ray of sunshine who always has a big, happy smile on her face that is contagious to everyone around her. She’s the kind of pup who instantly brightens the room with her presence. She’s full of love, curiosity, and charm, and she just makes everyone fall in love with her when they meet her. This affectionate cuddle bug loves nothing more than being close to her humans. Her favorite thing to do is snuggle up against your chest and shower you with sweet puppy kisses until you can’t help but laugh. She thrives on human connection and is happiest when she’s being doted on and told how cute she is. Talk to her, and she’ll listen like she understands every word as she is tilting her head from side to side with those big, soulful eyes locked right on you. Livvy is also a total social butterfly who loves everyone she meets. She’s confident, friendly, and eager to make new friends wherever she goes. She’s the type of puppy you can take anywhere. She would love to go to dog-friendly shops, outdoor patios, neighborhood walks, or weekend adventures. She absolutely loves being included in the fun and soaking up all the attention and pets she can get from her adoring fans along the way. Livvy is looking for a forever family who will include her in their daily lives and love her as much as she’ll love them. Whether it’s going on walks, exploring new places, or enjoying lazy days at home, she’ll be your most loyal sidekick every step of the way. With her goofy charm, affectionate personality, and heart full of love, she is sure to fill your home with laughter, warmth, and endless cuddles.

Livvy is low to medium energy, so she is pretty mellow with short bursts of energy that are quickly burned with playtime in the backyard. When it’s time to play, Livvy has a fun-loving, silly side that’s guaranteed to make you smile. She loves toys, games, and anything that keeps her engaged with her people. But she also has a wonderfully calm, easygoing side that makes her the perfect snuggle buddy after playtime or a work from home companion to keep you company if you work remotely. She’s the ideal balance of playful and laid-back. She is always happy to go on outdoor adventures, but just as content curling up on the couch for a cozy afternoon nap. She shows off her confidence as she ventures outside and explores the backyard. She loves to crouch down really low in the grass, roll around, and wait for another dog to walk by so she can jump up and do little zoomies around the yard. As she grows and masters leash training, Livvy would love to go on casual neighborhood walks or even explore nature trails on longer hikes with her humans. Her future home needs to have a toy box full of squeaky toys, ropes, and chew toys. She’d really love having a monthly BarkBox subscription to keep the fun going with new surprises every month. Puzzle games and chew bones will also be great for keeping her busy indoors, especially as she is teething.

Livvy is dog, cat, and kid friendly. She is in a foster home with dogs ranging in age from puppy to 14 years old, and from sizes x-small to large. She loves to play and cuddle with any and all of them. She has done well with smaller dogs like chihuahuas and poodles, and also larger dogs like pitties that she's met so far. She is a social butterfly when it comes to making new dog friends and would benefit from having another playful, friendly dog in her forever home that she can continue to learn from as she grows. She has learned proper doggy communication skills and boundaries, and takes correction well if other dogs communicate that they are tired of her puppy antics. She will scamper off to find something else to play with instead when she can't find a doggy playmate. Because of her young age and friendly demeanor, she would be able to acclimate to having a cat in her forever home. Since she is a playful, silly puppy, she would do best with dog-friendly cats that have lived with dogs before as she is a puppy and will want to play with them. Livvy would do well with kids of all ages. She loves to cuddle, get belly rubs, and share her sweet puppy kisses with everyone she meets. She is going to start teething soon so her humans will need to keep a watchful eye on her to make sure she doesn't chew on human kid toys laying around in her reach. Since she is very gentle, cuddly, and playful, she would do great with a family with kids who want a loving pup to grow up with.

Livvy is kennel trained and potty trained, and has just started transitioning outside for potty training now that she is old enough. She has not yet started leash training due to her young age, so she will need additional practice with that as she grows a bit more. She sleeps in a kennel and playpen setup at night with no fuss. She just crawls on her comfy dog bed with her toy and keeps herself entertained until she falls asleep. If she needs a potty break at night, she will do soft little "woo woos" until you let her out to do her business, then she goes right back inside to go to sleep. When she gets older, she would love to snuggle up in bed with her humans every night so she can get in as many cuddles as possible. For now while she is still young, it is recommended to use a kennel or puppy play pen when you are not home. She is doing well with potty training since transitioning to going potty outside. When she is inside and needs to go, she will make her way to the back door and put her feet on the door to let you know it's time for a potty break. She is still learning how to signal she needs to be let out, so it would be helpful to put some bells by the back door for her to ring to signal she needs to go out. She also knows that when her foster mom says let's go poop" that it's her cue to run to the back door and head outside for a potty break.

Livvy's ideal home would be a house with a fenced in backyard to run around and play in. She would do well in an apartment, condo or townhouse and would prefer if her human either works from home or can take her into a dog-friendly office while she is still young. When she gets a little older, she would also love to go to doggy day care and have playdates a few times a week if there are no other dogs in the home so that she can have some fun playing with other doggy friends. No public dog parks for this little girl because who wants to risk your pup catching a disease or being bullied on by other random dogs anyways. She would do love to have a family that has other dogs and kids, and would coexist well if there's a kitty in the home too. She would be perfectly fine being the center of attention in her forever home, too. She does need to have someone home most of the day or that can take her into the office if working a hybrid schedule as she still needs frequent potty breaks every few hours. With her adaptable, happy nature, Livvy would be a wonderful fit for a variety of households. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is equal parts sweetheart and goofball, Livvy is your girl. She’ll keep you smiling, laughing, and feeling loved every single day.
