Pebbles is a sweet, affectionate 4-5 year old Terrier / Am. Bulldog mix that weighs 85 lbs. She is full grown and will not get any larger. Pebbles is the definition of pure love. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, laid back and easy going. She has the gentlest soul, an easygoing spirit, and a naturally calm presence that makes everyone around her feel instantly comfortable as she melts her head into their hand for pets. Her nickname is Princess Pebbles because she loves to play dress up with different sweaters, bandanas, and even socks to keep her feet warm. Between her endlessly silly facial expressions, delightfully derpy ears, and animated reactions to the world around her, she keeps everyone laughing and smiling wherever she goes. Affection is Pebbles’ favorite thing in the world. She isn't a stage five clinger by any means, but she is happy to just exist in your presence. She is a perfect little lady in social settings and is a true social butterfly. Whether she’s meeting new friends on her daily walks around downtown or greeting guests at the door, she approaches everyone with gentle curiosity and an open heart. She’ is very trusting of every stranger she meets and will snuggle up right next to them, like they have been best friends forever. She loves being doted on and soaks up every bit of love she’s given. Pebbles is an elite-level cuddler. Whether she’s the big spoon or the little spoon, she’s happiest when she’s snuggled up close. She’ll happily curl up beside you for a cozy movie marathon, stretch out for a lazy afternoon nap, or lounge peacefully while you work from home. She's the perfect work from home companion because she's quiet, low key, and self-entertaining. Once the work day is over, just grab the leash and watch her face light up when she realizes it's time for a stroll through the neighborhood or outdoor dinner date with your friends. She is always happy to join in on any activity with her people. And when the temperatures drop, Pebbles is more than happy to bundle up in a cozy sweater and show off her adorable winter fashion as she goes on her afternoon strolls. She has such a cool girl, laid back temperament that she isn't phased by rain, snow, or thunder either. With her social, loving personality and her go-with-the-flow nature, Pebbles would be the perfect pup for someone who wants a best friend to share life, love, and everyday joy with.

Pebbles is lower energy and is best described as a couch potato house hippo, but she loves to go on casual neighborhood walks around the busy downtown Austin streets so she can socialize with humans and get some extra pets from people passing by. She also loves to sunbathe in the backyard and play with her doggy friends. She is the best passenger princess that will always be happy to join you on car rides. She will happily keep you company on short drives around town or long road trips. She loves to join her human on outings around town like going to dog-friendly stores, farmer's markets, outdoor restaurants, and even outdoor breweries. Her favorite games are fetch and tug-o-war, but she doesn't need hours of exercise or constant entertainment. If she can't find a human or dog to play with, she will keep herself busy playing with her stuffed animals, chewing on a bone, or taking a nap. Once playtime wraps up, her sweet and snuggly side takes center stage. She’s happiest curled up next to her favorite human, enjoying a cozy couch cuddle and a cat nap. Pebbles is the perfect balance of mellow companion and social sweetheart. She's always ready for light adventures, but enjoys lazy days hanging out around the house too.

Pebbles is dog and kid friendly, but hasn't been introduced to cats inside a home environment. She has been in a foster home with two dogs, a male and female, and she co-exists with them perfectly. She would do well with another dog in her forever home, but would be perfectly content being the only dog too. She enjoys playing next to other dogs with her own toys, but doesn't really play with them unless it's a quick game of tug-o-war. She does love to cuddle and sleep next to her doggy friends, but other than that, she just happily exists with them. She also made friends with two neighbor dogs through the chainlink fence next door, and she will greet them through the fence and then go back to her sunbathing spot on the porch. If there is another dog in her forever home, she would do best with a laid back and lower energy dog like her. She could tolerate a higher energy dog, but she really not going to be one to keep up with running and playing with them. She has not been a big fan of the outdoor neighborhood cats that she's seen and will chase them out of the backyard. She has not been introduced to cats inside the home, so it is not recommended that she be in a home with cats because of that. Pebbles has been around younger and older kids, and has met kids on her daily walks too. She loves them all!  She is very calm, gentle, loves to get pets and share sweet puppy kisses with all of them. She is the perfect pup for a family with kids of all ages because she loves affection and cuddle time, is easy going, and is even super gentle taking treats from their hand (she only uses her lips to grab snacks).

Pebbles is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She walks well on a leash, and loves going on walks and fun outings with her humans. She prefers leisurely walks where she can stop to smell the roses, and sometimes she wants to hang back and sniff something for a little bit before moving on. She does enjoy stopping to meet new people on her walks too, so be prepared for this social butterfly to want pets from every person she walks past. She sleeps on the couch or dog bed primarily at night, but sometimes goes in her kennel with the door open to sleep too. She can be trusted to be left out at night and won't have an accident or be destructive. She doesn't need to stay in her kennel when her foster mom has to leave the apartment for longer periods some days, and you can usually find her still snoozing away in the same spot when you return. She doesn't mind her kennel at all, and just appreciates when she gets a yummy treat to snack on when she goes inside. She would love to snuggle up in bed with her humans every night so she can get in as many cuddles as possible though. She is fully potty trained and will notify you that she needs to go outside by standing by the back door.

Pebbles can make any place feel like home. Whether it's a house with a fenced in backyard in a suburban neighborhood or a busy downtown apartment complex, she adapts effortlessly. Her calm, low-energy nature makes her an easy and respectful companion wherever she lives. She's so quiet, low energy, and calm that most of her foster mom's neighbors don't even realize a foster dog is in the apartment there until they meet her on the elevator. One of her favorite things is finding a warm patch of sun and stretching out like the happiest little land hippo. A patio, balcony, or backyard where she can lounge on an elevated dog bed and soak up the rays would make her absolutely content. Pebbles would do well sharing her forever home with another dog who matches her mellow, laid-back vibe. A calm canine companion to nap beside and coexist peacefully with would suit her just fine. She would be equally happy to be the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love, cuddles, and attention. No public dog parks for this big girl because who wants to risk your pup catching a disease or being bullied on by other random dogs anyways. With her goofy charm and easy going personality, she is sure to fill your home with laughter, love, and endless cuddles.
