Sora is a sweet, laid back 8 year old mixed breed dog that weighs 35-40 lbs. She is fully grown and will not get any larger, although she wouldn’t mind shedding a few pounds as part of a healthy lifestyle. Sora is the definition of an easygoing couch potato. This affectionate, low-energy girl is happiest lounging on a comfy couch or curling up in her favorite dog bed. She absolutely loves spending time with her people and never turns down an invitation for cuddles, hugs, or belly rubs. When it comes to other animals, Sora is wonderfully calm and polite. She is neutral with other dogs and doesn't feel the need to be the center of attention. She also does well with kitties and is perfectly content calmly hanging out alongside them. Sora is as laid-back as they come and is happy to be included in whatever her person is doing. She enjoys car rides around town, leisurely neighborhood walks, and relaxing on the back porch. She doesn't need a busy schedule or constant entertainment. She's simply happy being by your side. She would make an amazing work from home companion because she is quiet, independent, and perfectly content to snooze the day away while you work. She does enjoy having a good chew bone nearby, and you may occasionally see her get up from her nap just long enough to find one before settling back down at your feet. Sora isn't overly needy and is wonderful about respecting your personal space. But the moment you sit down and invite her over, be prepared to have her undivided attention and lots of cuddles. She loves those special opportunities to curl up beside her people and soak up some quality cuddle time. Sora would be especially wonderful for a retired person or couple looking for a calm, affectionate companion to share their everyday life with. She doesn't need much to be happy. Just give her a cozy place to nap, a few chew bones, some leisurely outings, and, most importantly, a person or family she can share her love with. If you're looking for an easygoing, quiet, affectionate companion who will happily spend her days relaxing by your side, Sora may be your perfect match!

Sora is low energy, so she best described as a cuddly couch potato. She does need daily exercise to help her burn some calories, so a couple of leisurely strolls around the neighborhood or longer walks on hiking trails are perfect for helping her get out of the house and moving each day. She's not big on playing with toys or other dogs, but she loves a good chew toy. Once she has her daily exercise in,  she will hop on the couch and fall fast asleep for a nap. She would be perfectly content to spend a quiet morning lounging beside you, take a little break to go on a morning stroll, and then curl up for a nap while you work or relax. She doesn’t need you to entertain her every minute of the day, but she never passes up the chance to cuddle up next to you for some belly rubs or ear scratches. Whether you’re working, watching television, reading, relaxing outside, or moving around the house, Sora is perfectly happy to be your side kick and quietly enjoy being part of whatever you’re doing.

Sora is dog friendly, cat friendly, and kid friendly. In her foster home, she lives with multiple dogs of different ages and sizes, and also a cat too. She does well with them all, and is respectful of their personal space. She has the wonderful ability to adapt to different dogs' personalities and temperaments, and will happily hang out with and simply coexist with all of them. She is avoidant when it comes to conflict with other dogs and if another dog is reactive towards her, she will try her best to avoid them and just walk away. She will be happy to live with another dog or a cat, but she's also perfectly content being the only fur-baby in the home and getting all of the attention to herself. Sora has done well with kids she has met and is very calm around them. She would do fine with children visitors, but would prefer a much lower energy lifestyle in her every day environment. She loves to be loved on and is very gentle when she asks for affection, so she will happily accept pets and belly rubs from anyone willing to offer them though.

Sora is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She will sleep in a kennel at night if she has to, but she is not destructive at all and can be trusted to be left out. She would really love to sleep in bed with her humans in her forever home so she can be close to them while she sleeps. She is potty trained and will not have an accident in the house. When she needs to go outside to potty, she will walk to the backdoor and pace back and forth until you let her out. She does sleep through the night without needing to go outside, so don't worry, she won't wake you up in the middle of the night for a potty break. She is comfortable walking on a leash and doesn't mind people or other dogs she encounters on her daily walks.

Sora's ideal home would be one where she can be included in her family’s daily life and get plenty of love and attention. She would love to live in a home with a fenced yard because she enjoys sunbathing on the patio and in the grass. She could also live in an apartment, condo, or townhouse as long as she gets her daily walks and plenty of cuddle time with her human. She would love if she had a human that works from home or one that is retired, but does fine with her fosters that work outside of the home. She would be perfectly happy sharing her space with another dog or cat, but she would be just as happy being the only dog in her forever home too. No public dog parks for this sweet girl because who wants to risk your pup catching a disease or being bullied on by other random dogs anyways. In her forever home, Sora would thrive with a family who has a laid back, low traffic home environment and that wants a cuddly, low energy companion to spend their days with.
