Willow is a sweet and affectionate 2.5 month of Rottweiler / Shepherd mix that weighs 17 lbs. She is expected to weigh around 70-75 lbs when she is fully grown. Willow is very social, friendly and loves meeting new human and doggy friends. She is super affectionate and could spend all day cuddling with her human if she could. She is also a playful pup with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. She loves chasing tennis balls around the yard, wrestling with her squeaky toys, and romping around with her doggy friends. After she gets her energy out, she loves to cuddle and will shower you with the sweetest puppy kisses before she falls asleep on your lap. Willow is a social butterfly who loves being included in whatever her humans are doing. She’s always happy to join you on outings such as brunch on a dog-friendly patio, strolling through farmers markets, or hanging out with friends at a backyard BBQ. She has a naturally curious spirit and a growing love for the outdoors, which makes her the perfect adventure buddy for someone who enjoys exploring nature trails, discovering new places, or going on long, scenic hikes.

Willow medium energy, so she has short spurts of energy that are easily burned with short walks or playtime in the backyard. She's a perfect mix of laid back and active, so once she gets his daily exercise in, she is pretty laid back and low energy. Her favorite activities include playing some fun mental stimulation games that involve yummy treats, exploring the outdoors, and tossing her toys around the room then chasing after them. She also loves to play with other dogs and her face lights up when she meets a new furry friend. While she enjoys playing with her doggy friends, she’s also perfectly content to entertain herself with her favorite toys when she can't find another pup to play with. As Willow grows and masters her leash skills, she’ll be excited to expand her adventures beyond the backyard. She would love to join her humans for casual neighborhood walks in the evenings or exploring longer nature trails on the weekends. Hiking through the woods, splashing around near the water, or strolling through town for some new sights and smells, Willow will always be happy to go along for the ride. With her adaptable energy level, she’s just as content with a short playtime activities as she is going on a bigger, more adventurous outings.

Willow is dog, cat and kid friendly. She loves other furry friends and would love to have another playful dog in her forever home. She would be perfectly fine being the only dog in the home, but he would benefit from having frequent play dates with other dogs as she grows up so she continues learning proper doggy communication skills and play etiquette. She would do best in a home with another dog that is patient and playful as she is a puppy and an older dog who isn't used to puppy energy and silly antics may not appreciate having a young little fur-sister around. Because she has such a sweet and gentle demeanor, she would be able to acclimate to having a cat in her forever home with slow introductions. She would do best with dog-friendly cats that have lived with dogs before and don't mind standing their ground if she gets to be annoying (because she is a puppy and will probably annoy a cat that isn't used to dogs). Willow is currently in a foster home with kids around day care age through elementary school age, and she loves them all! She would do well with kids of all ages, but she would really love to have kids that can play and cuddle with her because her favorite thing to do is cuddle and share her sweet puppy kisses with her humans. She may trip a small child who isn't steady on their feet though and is going to start teething soon so her humans will need to keep a watchful eye on her to make sure she doesn't chew on human kid toys laying around if there are younger kids in the home. Since she is very fun-loving, cuddly, and sweet, she would do great with a family with kids who want a loving and playful pup to grow up with.

Willow is excelling in potty training and she would prefer to go outside to do her business. She will notify you that she needs to go outside by lingering around and putting her feet up on the back door. She has not yet started leash training due to her young age, so she will need additional practice with that as she grows a bit more. She sleeps in a kennel and playpen setup at night with no fuss, but she usually has to be encouraged with a yummy treat to go in for the night. When she is ready for bed, she likes to sprawl out on the cool floor and will fall asleep almost immediately. When she gets older, she would love to snuggle up in bed with her humans every night so she can get in as many cuddles as possible. For now while she is still potty training, it is recommended to use a kennel or puppy play pen at night and when you are not home.

Willow's ideal home would be one where she can be included in her family’s daily life and get plenty of love, exercise, and cuddle time. She would love to live in a home with a fenced yard to run and play in, but she’d be perfectly content in an apartment, condo, or townhouse as long as she gets regular walks and playtime. Since she’s still a young puppy, she will need someone home most of the day or that's able to take her to the office if working a hybrid schedule as she still needs frequent potty breaks. She would thrive in a home with other dogs and kids to run around and play with, and can even coexist with some kitties in the home too. If she is the only dog in the home, she would benefit from going to doggy day care to help her burn her puppy energy, continue socializing, and to learn proper play etiquette with other dogs as she continues to grow. No public dog parks for this sweet girl (who wants to risk your pup catching a disease or being bullied on by other random dogs anyways), but she would love to have fun adventures at Sniff Spots or doggy day care occasionally for playtime and exercise if she does live in an apartment, condo, or townhouse without a private fenced-in yard. Whether she’s exploring the outdoors or curled up for snuggles, Willow just wants to share life with her people. She’s so excited to find a forever family who will give her all the love, adventure, and companionship she dreams of.
